If you’ve got a weekend or just a day to explore Sioux Center, this Bucket List is a great place to start. If you want to live like a local and find plenty of affordable fun, let this list be a launch pad for your adventures.

1. Make Par. Tee off at the Ridge 18-hole course, Lil Wispy par-3 golf course, the Children’s Park 18-hole Disc Golf course, or mini golf at RJ’s Indoor Golf + Bar
2. Get Caffeinated. Sip a latte or tea at New Grounds, The Fruited Plain, Casey’s Bakery, 712 Nutrition, Scooter’s Coffee, and more!
3. Try Every Slide…Or the Zipline. Visit all 10 Sioux Center Parks. Don’t forget waterslides and the zipline at Siouxnami Waterpark and All Seasons Center!
4. Donuts Day or Night. Try fresh donuts and pastries at Casey’s Bakery and Olivia’s Mexican Bakery. Casey’s has fun donut deals Weds. 7-10 PM
5. Get Authentic Mexican. Always a fiesta at Vero’s, La Rancherita, Mi Lupita, La Trailita, El Chamoyita, Los Tulipanes, and more!
6. Make a Point. Play ball on the outdoor fields at Open Space Park or indoors at the American State Bank Sports Complex or Dordt Rec Center. Or play pickleball at Children’s Park!
7. Curd it Up. Decide which restaurant serves your favorite cheese curds. Culver’s? RJ’s Indoor Golf and Bar? The Ridge Grill?
8. Take On Trivia. Everybody is an expert in something. Grab a table with friends for weekly trivia or Mingo (music trivia bingo) at The Ridge, RJ’s Indoor Golf, or Late Harvest.
9. Blaze a Trail. Walk, run or roll on all of the 8 miles of paved trails including to Sandy Hollow Recreation Area.
10. Big Screen + Extra Butter. Watch a new release at Cinema 5 theatre in Centre Mall downtown Sioux Center… and say “yes” to extra butter!

BONUS: Late Night Fun. Rent skates for Moonlight Skate where they dim the lights and pump the music at Vernon Arena or grab a beverage with friends at Back Door Lounge, the Ridge Grill, Late Harvest or Sidebar – and check out local music, trivia, karaoke and other theme nights.
