- After you tour campus, relax together at RJ’s Indoor Golf with a round of putting or try different a soccer or football challenge in the simulator bays.
- Take time to walk some of the 8 miles of paved recreation trails through parks and neighborhoods and take the wooden pedestrian bridge to loop around Bridgeview Pond.
- Pick out some pastries at Casey’s Bakery, a family-owned sweets and treats shop that specializes in Dutch almond patties and imported Dutch goodies, plus traditional American donuts and treats.
- Step inside the American State Bank Sports Complex (and surprise yourself with how big it is) then throw a pass or two.
- Browse the shops at Centre Mall and around town, including ViBella, a Fair Trade store with a mission supporting artisans in Haiti.
- Play a round or two of Pickleball at Children’s Park – you can find an opponent who’s free to play when you are through the pickleball site http://www.playtimescheduler.com. Or if disc golf is more your style, enjoy the 18-hole disc golf course at Children’s Park.
- Sip something caffeinated at one of several coffee shops in town like New Grounds Coffee. Co. – whether you like it basic with brewed coffee or a fancy salted caramel latte.
- Visit one of the churches in the community and make a connection with some of the locals.
- Get a good burger or steak at 4 Brothers Bar & Grill or Sioux County Livestock Co. or stop in Member’s Cut meat shop to pick up some top tier meats to bring home.
- Catch a Dordt game or theatre production then gather around the table for pizza in a relaxed atmosphere at Late Harvest or The Fruited Plain Café or Pizza Ranch.
